ΕΤΕPΑΜ is a non profit National scientific society, located in Thessaloniki, Greece, which was founded in 2004. Its goal is the establishment and dissemination of the idea that the restoration and rehabilitation of monuments is conducted within a special framework of principles and techniques, aiming at the preservation of the authenticity and the structural system of the historic buildings as well as  the conservation and presentation of the values they encorporate. In this framework, ETEPAM  promotes the scientific dialogue, not only on the philosophical issues of restoration, but also on technological aspects of survey and applications.

Since 2004 ETEPAM has successfully organized 6 National Conferences and 4 Workshops related to the restoration of monuments, which were attended by an average of 300 scientists from the field of research and technology.

6th National Conference of Restoration

ETEPAM organized the 6 th National Conference on Restoration, dedicated to the memory of Kalliopi Theocharidou, in Thessaloniki at 13-16 October 2022. It addressed topics related to the Restoration of monuments and historic structures.

Subject – Topics

The topic of the Conference concerned issues related to the Restoration of monuments and historic structures, focusing in:

a) philosophy and methodology of interventions,
b) seismic risk and other aspects of vulnerability of monuments
c) technological research (documentation, techniques, materials, etc.) and application
d) exploitation of monuments and archeological sites.
